FAQ and Offerings
My service is first and foremost NOT ski instruction. I provide something different - a blending of academic experiences in an alpine environment. Essentially - I use my standards aligned lessons and ski expertise to help students learn something while I supervise (not instruct!) their skiing. Physics, journalism, nature writing, basic math - all of it is on the table! Or, if you want a simpler solution, I am happy to just tutor your students in their core classes and / or supervise their free ski time. In other words, you might consider me an option for checking all your boxes in one place.
What I Offer
- What do you charge?
My hourly rate is flat for the first two children, with every child after that costing an additional $15. per hour. Overall fees will depend on costs of lodging, transport, and other factors. Fill out our pre-consultation form so that we may discuss specifics.
- What do your hours look like?
Bookings are charged hourly I generally try to book for a minimum of four hours. However, I can make exceptions for recurring engagements. I can happily teach and / or supervise your children for up to 10 hours consecutively.
- I am not really interested in academics as much as just someone who will ski with my kids / help me ski with my kids. Can you still help me?
Absolutely! I offer babysitting as well for a separate rate. Book a consultation to learn more.
What grades / ages do you work with?
I only work with students from ages 8 to 18 - this is to ensure rigorous academic experiences as younger kids have different pedagogical needs that I am less familiar with. If you have a question about this this, I would be more than happy to discuss.
